Its a safety feature for a stuck open or throttle cable problem! You should always use the key in normal situations because you can run down your auxiliary power if you forget to turn off the key, and also you don't have an extra step to check the position of your kill switch before possibly flooding your engine. If you wear out the plastic emergency button you may not have it when you need it. If you're storing your bike you should turn off the fuel switch and run the fuel out of the lines too.

Have you figured out where the repeat button is on the actual machine like the cameo three had a repeat button when you were doing jobs that were the same. You didn’t have to come back to your computer to do it. You could do it right from the machine itself now there’s not that option that I can find on the machine.

I don’t think I had to remove that piece/replace. Mainly because my headlights I left in place. The 2007 cbr600rr fairing design is not the best and you really gotta be careful. Are you referring to the actual mesh piece or the fairing tabs under?

It literally makes no difference all manufacturers have confirmed this. As for your other argument, it’s best to have a habit of killing it with the switch because although you have to still take your key out, you can’t forget to hit the kill switch that way and it saves your battery from parasitic drain. Also the kill switch is the “start” button on many modern bikes that don’t take keys

In my case, the shop that did my alignment had it crooked. When I installed the steering wheel it made it more apparent. Slight toe adjustment fixed it.
